Examining Spiritual Roots
and Their Impact on Present Day Families and Communities

"An important tool of transformation
for a culture, a people group,
and several regions of our nation."

Can good and bad traits be inherited
through ancestral lines?
If you've wondered whether your heritage impacts your spiritual growth, this book is for you. Its concepts reveal how the blessings and weaknesses of the past flow down through the ages to our present day.
Unlocking Our Inheritance is written through the lens of Anabaptist heritage. Today's Anabaptists are primarily known as Amish, Mennonites, Brethren in Christ, and Hutterites.
Part one of the book examines the ancient spiritual fervor, love, and gifts of the early Anabaptists who thrived in the midst of harsh persecution at the hand of European State Church Systems of the 1500s and 1600s.
Part two looks at the spiritual shifts that gradually occurred in historical Anabaptist communities—shifts that moved away from unity, love, and spiritual passion and gravitated toward division, infighting and compromise—and how these changes have impacted Anabaptist communities in the present day.
Through prayers at the end of each chapter, those with Anabaptist heritage will be able to take action as they ask God to lay aside negative inheritances and restore good inheritances He has chosen for their lives.
